Rick; Do you mean that a bride of one name say, Ana Francisca would marry and change her name to her mother-in-laws say Jacintha Maria? Talk about making our job of tracing our ancestors harder! Not to mention, talk about a “kiss up”! LOL!
Mary, Yes, it sure does make it harder to know what is what. I’m trying to fill in the different branches of my tree and didn’t really count on tracking down all the marriages and obits, etc. Was hoping to do it just through births/baptisms. Oh well, I never really expected to finish my tree!
