Karl is right: no meaning "to endure with / tolerate" in Am 3:3.

I see no relation between this Niphal (Am 3:3) and the word in Ex 21:8
(unless, of course, that they share the root).

For the pattern of the word in Am 3:3 look also at Ez 26:19 (root ya$ab)
and Ps 77:20 (root yada')
