Maybe I'm just being Mr Grumpy, but I always consider it polite when asking people to give up some (even just a little) of their time to help my endeavours, to use appropriate language... "I'd be really grateful if...", "Thanks in advance" etc. Heigh ho, perhaps I'm old-fashioned.
