When I undertook my BSc dissertation I was obliged to fill out and comply with a code of ethics with regards to the collection of personally identifiable data (and even how I undertook surveys or primary research), so I wouldn't be overly concerned with this. I used to get a bucketload of SurveyMonkey requests forwarded to my University account by various lecturers and project supervisors!
