I too was bothered by Hasan's implication that the holocaust was retribution
for the Jews rejecting Christ. Ordinarily I might have raised some of the
same concerns as you did. But coming from a Muslim, it just doesn't sound
right. It sounds like a white person accusing black parents of spreading
race hatred because they describe to their children the treatment they and
their ancestors received at the hands of white people.
The truth of the matter is that Baha'is don't hold any power to persecute
and kill Muslims but Muslims can persecute and kill Baha'is and many of them
have done so. It is the acts of Muslims themselves which will determine what
kind of stories we tell our children. They can either be Najafis or
Rubabihs. We will tell our children the stories of both.
