Hi Gilberto,

Yes I can understand where you are coming from. It all has to do with belief.

I could not account for that urge in me so many years ago, that felt that there was something fresher, something more new, coming from God, something less tainted with habits and interpretations by people, interpretations that confused people and took away from the original. I almost became Muslim in my search, but that little voice in me kept saying that there was something newer.

The Bahai faith teaches that every time a manifestation of God appears the world is endowed with a spiritual power, as if the world is created anew. I believe that, but as I can find enough reasons with my rational mind that this is true, I can also find enough reasons with my rational mind that this is not true. Reason alone is not going to give us truth, nor does intuition alone give us this truth.

What one believes is between oneself and God and both intuition, tradition (what one is used to do because one is trained to do so) and reason are used to get at certain beliefs or to stick to certain beliefs.

Hi Gilberto,

>That's why I don't  think that a new Manifestation who will change things around is all that necessary. While remaining faithful to Islam, the rulings of
scholars will take new realities into account.<

You certainly have a right to your opinion.  It seems that God does not agree,

since He sent Baha'u'llah.
