Dear Scott, Thanks for your reply. Whether precedent is the issue or not, I am still interested in how the issue will be ajudicated. Perhaps we will live to see more cases. Also, the House still publishes letters of guidance on many topics, and could suggest further guidelines if It wishes to do so, which is separate from the issue of the use of precedent in a legalistic sense. I agree with your points about the complexity of gender issues. Neither individual was married.   Gender dysphoria and the individual affected is intensely complicated.
