Okay, but that is not a question. What has been their impact on the Baha'i > Faith, Babism, and contemporay Islam? More of Islamic law comes from the hadith than the Qur'an although in theory the Qur'an is more authoritative. According to Wikipedia "There is no > Bahá'í corollary to Islamic Hadith; in fact, Bahá'ís do not consider Hadith > authoritative." The closest corollary would be Pilgrim's Notes which are not considered authoritative and play no role in Baha'i law. The Baha'i literature do make references to Hadith and some > Baha'i laws imply being Hadith based. Yes, Baha'i literature makes references to hadith but I don't know of any Baha'i laws that are based on that. I regard the hadith as an important, but imperfect historical source of information on the life of Muhammad. What I personally would like to see is the development of a new science of hadith study, one which incorporates modern standards of textual criticism. But I'm speaking as a historian here, not a Baha'i.
