Paul,
I think there must be some value in what you are saying here.
In any case, as principle I think we can look at the concept of the
Universal House of Justice and its membership, including the electoral
system that supports it, as one of the 'tools' that has been revealed to
Baha'u'llah as appropriate to the exigencies of humanity in this era.
There is a metaphysical sense that, because Baha'u'llah has revealed the
teaching of equality of men and women, that it has been achieved. Maybe,
then the real outcome of the Faith in this area is something that is
created because we are looking even further afield.

Dear Owen, Susan, and others interested,

Paradoxical as it may seem The Bah' Faith demonstrates conclusively
its absolute commitment to women's right because it does so without any
women on the Universal House of Justice. This advocacy is based on
fundamental principle and teaching and not on policy affected by
demographics of the governing bodies as may be the case in other
organizations. If it was the case that women served on the UHJ then it
would be unclear if the advocacy of women's rights is due to the
influence of the women on the UHJ or due to equality of men and women
being fundamental in the teachings of the faith.

The age, gender, or nationality of the members of the House of Justice
is immaterial. What is important is how many are feminist, and with the
infallible inspiration from Bah'u'llh they must be.
