Hi, Actually its a wise idea to use the Kick Start for every cold start. Since during cold start, the torque required by the self motor is more for cold engine additional current is taken from the battery. To have extended battery life it is advised to do so. But so far i've used KS just 4 times in my 180 & none of the attempts made the engine live. Now my dad has also changed his bike from 4S to Discover & he is also using only ES. So i've forgot to kick start a bike... ;-))
If u feel comfort is essential forget abt battery life & start using ES during cold starts.....HTH On 26/12/2007, Nagendra <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi, > > One Service Person Adviced me to > Do the kick start in the morning to save battery life. > He also to me to pull the choke completely, before doing kick star the > morning. > the choke he said should be released only after the engine starts. > > I kept following his advice from Dec2004 to till date. things are fine for > me > my bike always starts at first kick, either it is morning or evening. > Of course i wont use kick starting in the evening, i will always use > Electric > start except the first start in the morning. > > NAgendra > . > ,_._,___ > -- Regards, james.r The Speed Steed....
