Hi Prashanth, Lemme add some info here if you doing the ECR route..
There is the Tiger caves .. some just 15Km after Mamlapuram. Mamlapuram is a world heritage site, can be rushed through under 2-3 hrs. Also some 30-40 Km after Mamlapuram, towards Chennai, is the corocodile park. Do visit if time permits. Can be done under 30 min. Major attraction are baby crocs, which u can hold in ur hands; and huge snakes which you can put around ur neck. I have done Bang-Pondy-Mamlapuram-Bang ride in 2.5 days in Sept 07. All SH are under major repairs. But routes are really secnic. You can even be a bit adventurous and try night riding through. Enjoy n have a safe trip.
