[David] Hi Vlad,

Well this is bad news, as you can imagine. When there is an effort to
increase the pace of dev, losing you for 1,5 month is not the best thing
that could happen.
The one thing that I'm not very comfortable with is the short term notice
for this - I had in mind that you'd be implement the trust management and I
did not see this coming.

Anyways, there's not much to be done about it I guess. The mistake on the
studio's side I think, is that there still lacks a clear communication on
the status of recurring contractor, in our case regarding the notice period
and the way things are dealt with when a recurring contractor cannot accept
a task. There is a draft (http://farsides.com/wiki/Contributor_status),
where it is stated that a recurring contractor should find some replacement
if he cannot perform a task, but things should definitively be more
formalized between the contractor and the studio.

So I'll work on that, but in parallel I'd be interested to discuss with you
(or with your management if you want to) on the kind of commitment you want
to have with the studio after Jan 20. Would that be possible ? It would be
great if we can define some rules together to avoid these surprises. By the
way, I'll repeat myself on that but just in case - the more transparent you
and your management can be with me, the better it will be for everyone
involved. In the sense, if you prefer a lighter commitment, or if some
aspects of the contracts are unsatisfying, it will be a good time to discuss
it openly. We are all learning here, so feedback is essential.

> I'm not sure exactly what's the best way to get over this period

[David] Thanks for asking - the first thing is to finish the current
milestones, we're almost there. Then, for the time you work on another
project, some support will be most welcome if needed, definitely - maybe
part of the day on the chat so that if another programmer needs your input
he can grab you there ?

Thanks
David
