Yep!

I mean that we should keep the presentation and layout - it has the
advantage of looking exactly like Facebook's chat, to which a lot of
people are used to (compare the two to see what I'd like to keep).

I think this part should just mirror the browser toolbar - the other
functions should be added elsewhere, otherwise it will be quickly
bloated imho.

I think this part could go on the bottom, just on top of the Ajaxim bar.
Maybe something like the MacOS X dock, which a lot of people know and
are familiar with:

For options, it probably fits in a specific window, accessible from the
dock.

For login/logout/save session, the important thing is to be able to
check quickly whether we are logged in or not.

Maybe that could be the only exception on the top bar - add on the right
the info about the current user. Maybe something like this:

= Logged in =

* Display the login name on the bar
* Clicking on it prompts a dialog box to confirm logout

= Anonymous =

* Display "Save session / Login" on the bar
* Prompt a window with two tabs: the registration form & login form
(registration displayed by default)

Except that it would require to modify AjaxIM - and it's counter
intuitive to have different chat windows, with the same person.

Yup - sounds good to keep it for a later release.

Xavier.
