It is supposed to automatically appear once an (unknown) number of friends have added a given application. But first you need to find a way to get those friends to add the application in the first place, second it's only one post instead of many, and last you don't control what's written - so there is little way to craft messages that drive users to try the application (or even to describe what it is!). On the other side, I've noticed that the new positioning of the game invites/notifications makes them more visible than where they were before the change. I'm wondering if users do click on them, but that part could not be that bad...
