How I *love* this - I despise HTML mail.

Jakob, it sounds like your mailer is misconfigured. You should make
plain text the default format for sending, because then you will have
fewer problems (and you will then cause fewer problems for other
people who despise HTML mail).
HTML mail is a low-profile DoS attack, wasting other people's resources.
Sending it to people who didn't ask for it is truly antisocial behavior.
