Hmmm. After I made the switch, I noticed I had two preference folders,
one in the correct location, and one named BBEdit or BareBones, or
somesuch.
At any rate, within each folder I had a file named "Grep
Patterns.xml", along with the other files named "Document
State.plist", "File Filters", "FTP Bookmarks.xml", and two folders.

My best guess is that BBEdit has simply replaced the old file.
