I have a large text file for a kreyol/english dictionary.
I want to convert it into a dict file for a beiks dictionary reader for Palm.

Beiks has said
>"Hi,
> if you send to me the dictionary in an excel document with two columns -
> one for the words and one for the translations, I will convert it into a
> lexicon for BDicty for you for free and will send it back to you :-)

My text file looks like this:
*****
abound / gen anpil, abonde
about / apropo, a
about to (do something) / fè sa pou
above / anlè, soutèt
*****

Now, I need to parse this file with a large number of lines and extract all the chars in front of the '/' and write them to a new file, then put in a new line. Then throw away the '/', get the rest of the chars and write that in a second new file, with a new line.

Any hints?

I guess NeoOffice can make an excel file.
