Have you checked to see if you have a corrupted font?

Three things, probably more messed up:
1) If I type fi (F and I) it displays as an upside down question
mark.
2) View > Text Display > Show Fonts
I cannot change the font size
3) BBEdit Preferences > Editor Defaults > Default Font
Cannot select or change anything in that box. Clicking Set has no
effect.
No idea what I did to cause this misery.
I've walked through the preferences and not seen anything that
strikes me a "wrong."
