Try this on the command line: sudo rm -rf /Library/Cache/com.apple.ATS && sudo shutdown -r now Before running the command, quit all running applications you have open because it will restart your machine. After restart and logging into your account it'll take it awhile before it comes back up. This is normal as it's rebuilding your font index. I've had this happen to me in other areas of the OS, BBEdit included, were fonts get corrupt.
