Thanks. This works for me. Two things to keep in mind:
a. When you scroll down the list of services (under the Text
heading), there might be more than one "Open File" listed,
because more than one application offers that service. The first
time I set this, TextWrangler opened the folder browser, not
BBEdit. So I set the pref again using the other "Open File" service.
b. Important: You have to log out and log in again to make the
change take effect.
This was the first I've fiddled with Snow Leopard's new approach
to Services -- I like it.
