Charlie,
I can't confirm any consistent behavior, here's what I found so far :
If ExpanDrive is running and
a remote drive window is visible, along with the corresponding local drive
window
( 1 ) as long as I am opening local files, BBEdit documents open at normal speed
( 2 ) as soon as I open one or more documents on the remote drive then BBEdit
slows down considerably regardless of which drive's files are opened (local or
remote).
( 3 ) the behavior is not consistent with the local drive's files (sometimes
they open very slowly, sometimes not).
( 4 ) Once a file from the local drive has been opened and closed, the next
time it may display quicker, but not every time.
what seems to happen when I double click on a file is this:
( a ) the window opens
( b ) slight delay, then the first line displays
( c ) there is a couple (2-3) second delay
( d ) sometimes only the portion of the page that was selected, when the
page was last saved, appears. followed by another delay
( e ) the remainder of the page displays completely
Changing
from : [x] Automatically refresh documents as they change on disk
to : [ ] Automatically refresh documents as they change on disk
did not help.
I have no clue, other than perhaps I need more ram ?
What I do know is this : If I don't run ExpanDrive after I reboot, BBEdit seems
to run normally.
