Johan, I tried finding "verify" in the preferences search field (upper rh corner) and the only thing I found was [x] Automatically refresh documents as they change on disk I searched the web and found : http://www.barebones.com/support/bbedit/arch_bbedit90.html * The mechanics that BBEdit uses to determine whether a file was changed on disk have been completely rewritten. Consequently, the group of “Verify open files after:” preferences (see Application prefs) has been replaced by a single setting: “Automatically refresh documents as they change on disk.” If you wish, you may turn this off and reload a document manually at any time by choosing the “Reload from Disk” command on the File menu. I am running BBEdit version 9.2.1 (2532) I am thinking you are on an earlier version ? I finally found info that "verify open files" is now "Automatically..." : Changing from : [x] Automatically refresh documents as they change on disk to : [ ] Automatically refresh documents as they change on disk did not help.
