I would find a tabbed interface highly useful if it organized open files in 
a way non-redundant with the Files sidebar. So, suppose:

- The tabs default to most-recently used order
- The user can drag them into a different order, so that they form a 
working set

Tabs organized these ways would become how I most frequently switch among 
files.
