Good afternoon,

No, he is not. I, too, installed 10.5.6 (3340) — after the official release announcement — when BBEdit prompted me that the new update was available. Then yesterday, it prompted again, and installed 10.5.6 (3342). There have been two 10.5.6 builds since the official announcement.

OK, I must have been away those days and lost a few emails. I see an announcement for pre-release 10.5.6 (3339), and then announcement for release 10.5.6, which appears to be build 3342.

I don't see a 3340 anywhere, nor any mention of it. Since more than one person is referring to it; I'll assume it was in the wild at some point. Since BBSW has not released any change notes, I'd assume it's safe to say "nothing to see here, move along".

I do at least understand the confusion now. It was not clear to me that the OP was referring to the BBE auto-update prompts; nor did I get two of them so the fact there were two of them went right past me. Curious though since I've had BBE open for a few weeks (until last night).

The assumption that everyone else had the same experience with two auto-update prompts was apparently premature. Thus the reason I said more details, specific examples, etc. We could have all saved a lot of time.
