Hello again,

In case anyone is wondering, I sent a message to the group a few minutes ago.
However, apparently, something went wrong in Apple Mail, and it sent out
someone else’s old thread from 2015, instead of the message which I just
composed. Not only that, but my original message got zapped, and I don’t feel
like typing it out again.

In a nutshell, what I need to know is if there is a Terminal command to set
BBEdit’s default behaviour, so that hitting the Return key in the search window
will result in the cursor advancing to the next line so that I can add more
text before beginning my search, instead of immediately initiating the search,
when the Return key is pressed.

I could have sworn that this is the way that BBEdit has always worked. However,
since today, I discovered that the only way I can advance to the next line in
the search window, is by holding down the Option key before hitting the Return
key. I find this behaviour an inconvenience, and not very Mac user-friendly. I
am wondering if I inadvertently did something to change this behaviour. Or am I
just losing my marbles? :)

Thanks to anyone in advance who can provide a clear answer.

Bill
