Well, this seems to have temporarily resolved the disconnection issue, but now I'm faced with super-slow speeds, maxing out at about 6kbps at best. And now after some tinkering (i.e., trying different drivers from fwcutter), even that's not helping. I tried setting it to even lower speeds, but still no improvements. Any other suggestions?

Johannes - thanks for the advice, but I too realized I had overlooked that error right after I posted...I forgot I had wiped everything, including the firmware when I reinstalled FC5. I'm sure I posted that to the list right after to correct myself, but it doesn't seem to have made it through. At any rate, I've moved on to other errors/problems, as you'll see in my more recent posts.

I'll get my connection back for another few seconds. So what should I look for next? Below are the new messages I'm getting...nothing looks like an obvious error...the messages just stop after the dhclient script finishes.

Try lowering the bitrate. 11M should be fine.
