I have seriously been considering putting out a portable radio at night during the harvest period and tuning it to a talk radio station.
I've done this for deer and it works for about two weeks.
Shock jock radio worked the best, but not for long enough to be worth
it. I even put a timer on the radio so it went on and off every
half hour. No luck.
Plantation seed has a scarecrow that contains a motion detector
that when something approaches it starts making noise and then points
a sprinkler at the approaching animal and squirts it. I wonder
if this works (it wouldn't for me because the sprinkler needs 45psi
water pressure and we have much less.
