The fence is not hot.
It utilizes 10 foot metal "T" post driven into the ground. The
fencing material is all metal, therefore the entire fence is "grounded" so I
don't think an electric charge is an option without substantial changes to the
fence.
Hey Monte how about some standoff "hot" wires set
up on the outside of the existing fence you should be able to buy the gear for
this relatively cheap and there is no need to disturb the main fence to set it
up. Ole mister bear gets his ears under the hot wire and his nose on the
grounded main fence he might just get the message!!
