Florianopolis, SC, Brasil. I agree with these comments on plant companion as well as that of balance, that is, something could be out of. But leaf cutters ants are, to put it simply, voracious here. Actually you may have not 24 hours to control them. I use to control their "appetite" with myrrh, seems that they really dislike it. Planting myrrh near the area when the plot is small. And kind of "beating" the myrrh on the fruit trees when the ants get "dangerous". I do that with myrrh on blackberries. Of course it is easy to do that in garndening, but in larger areas...
May I guess that finally, some of the plants you intend to produce are to be sacrificed? Nelson. (agronomist living in southern Brasil)
