Gil: If you have time, would you describe in detail some more enlightened incorporated features of your new house? I also do building, and am involved with a loose coalition of tradespeople interested in cuttingedge/lotech components. If you use no concrete slab, do you use polished clay, or some such equivalent, or suspended woodframe only? I assume you want to avoid primarily the reinforcing bars in the concrete which form a screen. In this area, a frequently used alternative is putting fibreglass strands in the mix. Related to this, i may soon be involved in a strawbale structure in which i'd like to avoid using re-bar or chickenwire in the walls, or an electrical surround. If one must use conventional, then it should be run in metal conduit, with that conduit grounded. Some time ago, i heard that the least harmful configuration of conventional electrical supply/layout was a "spiderweb" pattern, with its inherent non-parallel and fewer, lines. And with the shared water supply, i was long ago advised to insert a plastic coupling connection at house-entry, and ground it separately to disconnect from the ambient electricity carried "down the street, home-to-home". (although i always queried whether the current would not just travel thru the water itself?) A friend who is an experienced dowser said that this is particularly important if the hydro transformer is a couple of houses away. Have any more tidbits in this regard? .......manfred ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gil Robertson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, March 02, 2002 4:28 PM Subject: Re: Electronics and cancer
