Dear Manoj,      Thanx for your information. What I understand is, for single table 
updation we can go for dataset.update otherwise like for transaction(to update in more 
than one table) better we need to go for normal way(creating separate command for each 
table and update one by one) please tell me if i'm right?       And also for 
transaction (for eg., sales details or purchase details) I'm maintaining all the 
records in grid itself(either datagrid or in flex grid) before saving it into the 
database, which is the best way to do that? either using collections or arrays or 
dataset?    suggest me Thanx in advance Rgds, Ravi
