Are you sure that the data is represented in the hexadecimal format, like this: This is 256 in hexadecimal: 0x100 Is this is how its been represented? If so, then you will have to read the text and manually parse it, or use regular expressions to do the same. However, if the file isnt purely a text file, then open it using File.Open and with the returned FileStream, read the contents in a byte array.
