Now my question regarding your solution. a couple of months back, I had implemented one of the functionality I needed in exactly the same way. Comma seperated string. But at that time, I was thinking on two ways. 1. Sending comma seperated values, 2. storing XML Can you please tell me which one is the better approach up here? Sending XML can make easier for frontend so that it do not need to do lot many string manipulations, as we can directly load it in DOM...but does this have any perfomance implications??? so whats the better way from above 2. Ofcourse this means we have to formulate XML while creating the values, but if we do this for configuaration things, user is not going to frequently change this, and for sometimes, user can wait, comparing with loading each time... (I hope i m clear on this point, though I havent explained it well.)
