----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Soumitra2105 Message 9 in Discussion Hi, Please mono is pure ignorance. Mono is much more of a research project and will continue like that. Will your enterprise be willing to run their applications on mono when they do not know when it will be complete. For any company that works on Microsoft they pay for the support. .Net will keep evolving and do you think we can deploy after 4 years on mono. If .Net 1.3 comes ,can you tell how long before mono can get the support for those changes? Can we call the mono people if out of 15000 files one cannot be deployed? Tell me if after 10 years you cannot run a Visual Basic or a visual C++ application on UNIX, why or how do you think we will run anything on MONO. Another variant of the same is ROTOR.
