Hi Pratap,     you didn't understand what I mean,    see, It's a disconnected 
recordset, first user opened the connection filled the dataset and closed the 
connection. now data in first user memory(client1 machine) and no connection is 
maintained.    Second user connected to the database and fetched the same record and 
filled in dataset and closed the connection, now same record in the second user's 
memory (client2 machine) .        First user make some changes and updated in the 
database. Updation is successful.      Second user make some changes (this user does 
not know what are all the changes first user made since it's disconnected) and updated 
in the database, Updation is successful but second user will overwrite the first 
user's change         Got my point? that's why i suggested that solution   Rgds, Ravi
