I see that there is no web browser installed. Do you know which one they might use? Finally, the dpkg-reconfigure program is not installed so it can't be used to set the timezone (as indicated at http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBoneBlack_Debian#Timezone). I just set the /etc/timezone file and copied the zoneinfo file from /usr/share/zoneinfo/<area>/<city> to /etc/localtime.
