William, I don't know anything about compiling Qt, but I think what Frank and I wanted is not that complicated. And I've succeeded (at least I believe so). See the image I attached in the previous post? The BBB is running a customized GUI, and if I press any of the large buttons at the lower part of the screen, there is going to be a change (GPIO, or serial connection) happening.
And I'm no expert in programming, not even electrical engineering. I'm majored in mechanical engineering and I'm doing research in bio-medical-engineering. The reason I want to use BBB is this could make my biology experiments easier. And this doesn't require a very professional programming expertise. All one needs to do is finding the right book to read, and try by oneself. There is still very little information about Qt on BBB online, but I believe there will be more gradually. So William, please stop being a devil's advocate, and let's solve the technical problem instead.
