Again the easiest way to do so is like my way: use VNC to remote to the
BBB, run the Qt sample program for the first time, and if that works, you
can start messing with the mainwindows.ui and mainwindow.cpp, and see if
you can add the function you want to the program. The Qt Designer could be
run natively on the BBB.

I don't know if it's legally permitted to expose any content of the book I
mentioned here, but Frank if you want, we can communicate privately, and I
am willing to share everything I could to you, trying to get your purpose
realized.
