In my experience, software configurations usually take a few hours before I see software installed on a Blackberry. How long are you waiting before deeming it a failed push? Sent by: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ________________________________ Hello All, First time posting onto the mailing list and a new BES Admin, so be gentle with me! We recently migrated from BES 4.1.6 to BES 5.0.2. As part of the migration we also wanted to offer IM capability to our users so the Enterprise Messaging app was published. The Server connectivity was configured and the dodgy MS patch that stops MAPI working properly in this configuration was uninstalled and hidden. Version 2.1 of the Enterprise Messaging application is pushed to old 8800 handsets, whilst later handsets which have compatible OS versions have version 2.5 of the Enterprise Messaging application assigned. Testing of the Enterprise Messaging app was successful after User accounts in OCS had remote access enabled. We have encountered a problem however in that the EM application is not installing to all handsets. I have checked the scheduled jobs and the schedule is near as dammit empty. I have checked the OS version on the handsets for compatibility and for the latter type of handset the version is 4.5, whilst the EM version assigned is 2.5, so they are compatible. The users have BB connectivity and are receiving mail. I have removed the application from some of the assigned users and (later) reassigned it. I have changed the IT Policy on a test handset to Default, blown away the handset and reactivated it. I have factory wiped the handset using jl_cmder and reactivated but still do not see the EM application, I have then gotten frustrated and have shaken the handset and shaken it and shaken it, then nearly thrown it out of the window….……Do you know what, even shaking it doesn’t make the bloody thing work! :-o Oh, and I have cheeked that the application has not installed hidden. It still doesn’t install. Even Google does not offer an answer. So, any ideas as to why the app is not getting out? Any help, advice or guidance gratefully accepted.
