Create a new contacts folder in the Mailbox root. Move all the contacts in
outlook to the new folder. Then copy any contacts that you want to see on the
BB to the root "Contacts" folder. I believe if you are running OS 5.0 or later,
you can select which contact folders should sync as well. This is found in BAS
under Messaging Configuration section.

Subject: [Bes-admins] Only Sync some contacts?

We have a user who is going to be moving to a BlackBerry today from a non-smart
phone.  The user has about 3000 people in his Outlook contacts.  I am
anticipating him being very annoyed when 3000 names start to sync up to his
device...

Is there a way that I can segment his Outlook so that only some of his contacts
sync?  Like create a sub group of contacts called "Phone Only" and have only
those sync?  If so, is there a way to set this before the initial sync?

Thanks
