The word "Schema" during the BES upgrade refers to upgrading the configuration 
database and of course not MS Active Directory Schema changes.

Hmm, I never saw a KB article, but when I went through the upgrade it said 
"Upgrading database schema..." for about 60-120 seconds. It's possible it goes 
through the motions of that stage of setup even if there's nothing to update I 
guess.

Richard, can you elaborate on the "schema update on BES/Monitoring db" (a link 
to RIM kb maybe? I dont see this in the release notes. Googlefu is failing me. 
We're currently on 5 SP3 MR1.

I'd suggest an upgrade to SP3 MR2 if your main admin guy agrees. It'll need a 
schema upgrade on the BES configuration and monitoring database, but it was 
painless for me :)

I do the provisioning for our BlackBerry devices but I do not have a BlackBerry 
myself so I'm not on the BES server. Every few weeks I disappear off the BES 
server and am unable to log on. Our BES engineer adds me back and I'll be good 
for a few weeks. Waiting to be added back has put me in a bind once or twice. 
Is there a way to keep this from happening?
