I hsould have done the reinstall in jconsole, not just in package manager.
However have now done so, and version is 1.0.3
Now if I enter the next line in a term window it takes some time,
but still returns a message that Jqt.exe has stopped working-----
Execution of Note in a script appears to work correctly.

The function Note now no longer operates correctly in a Term window.

it returns to normal execution mode in the next line.
The former behaviour was to permit entry of lines until a line

If a line which does not execute is entered following the first line
