Bill, in my previous test I had unfortunately extracted the files in the
j801 directory, not the j801/bin directory.
So I went back and did a complete reinstall and tested that it performed as
previously.
I then downloaded http://www.jsoftware.com/download/jqt/j8w32.zip and
extracted in j801/bin
The files were of the size you indicated.
The attempt to run jqt.cmd then failed with the message
libstdc++-6.dll not found and it suggested I do a reinstall. I have not
done that yet, but hope this helps you find where the problem lies. Having
just done a full install that seems rather strange.
