I can reproduce this bug, the reason is that it already switched back to editor but the editor window is in the back of the terminal so you cannot see the response. This is fixed now and an updated apk has been uploaded. Also the input log select should work now.
@Don, the life game have an option menu to choose a larger size or block size. Please see if the ide can work better if the physical keyboard is detached.
