I beg to disagree.
I preferred the VOC long over NUVOC, but that was more since I got used to VOC
during a rather steep learning curve.
And because the VOC is out of date after the new releases came up (with an
impressive frequency), you, well, in any case I, don't have any choice.
Now I get used to NUVOC, I appreciate its style and admire the work which
people have put in it.
Once and a while I glance back in the VOC, just to be sure about an example
given there.

I strongly dislike NuVoc. The original help pages were much cleaner and easier
to navigate.

There is a nice Wikibook on the Ada programming language:
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Ada_Programming

It would be nice to see the J Wikibook
(https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Software_Engineers_Handbook/Language_Dictionary/J)
expanded into something similar. That would be helpful for encouraging people
to try J.
Software Engineers Handbook/Language Dictionary/J - Wikibooks, open books for
an open
world<https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Software_Engineers_Handbook/Language_Dictionary/J>
J []. J is not Java. It is an ASCII decendant of APL. Here is the wikipedia
entry.. The software is free as of this writing, and available at the J
software page. Type []. J is an array oriented functional language.

Yes -- and you did actually express the reason, it's spelled out on the page on
extended and rational arithmetic (which is becoming increasingly difficult to
find, what with the nuvoc changes):
