As for floats with decimal point but no digit after the point,  such as 13. , I was surprised to find that such representations are allowed as input in a J session.

I've been appending 0 for years,  thinking at least one trailing digit was required.
Checking back to J5 shows I'm and have been wrong for some time!

Thanks

Mike

I add to system/config/base.ijs this string

(9!:11) 10

And my problem was fixed.

     2 %: 322970055388x
568304.5446
     0.0 + <. 0.5 + 2 %: 322970055388x
568305

IMHO it's contrintuitive default behavior of J when float numbers displayed as integer (without dot)
and without any digits after dot.

I would like to see at least one character after the dot.
In this case, it is clear what type of number (floating point or integer).

Sergey.
