For the "OpenGL Graphics" example in the OpenGL demo, rotation of the text
was about twice as slow in j601mbeta (about 55s for 10 rotations) than
j504b (35s for 10 rotations). The OpenGL window was resized in j601m
to be the same size as the default in j504b.
The timing for a single key press 'x' (averaged over 10 presses at
approximately
1 second intervals) for the same demo
in j601 was 0.11 sec and
in j504b was 0.0003 sec.
Timing was done by changing the opengl_g_char_jgldemo_ verb to:
opengl_g_char_jgldemo_ =: 3 : 0
T_base_=: T_base_, 6!:2 'gschar_jgldemo_'''''

Since j504b does not have the gschar verb,
gschar_jgldemo_ =: opengl_g_char_jgldemo_
