The j.exe front is likely to be with us for quite a while. But it probably
won't get any (or very little development). Nothing we are doing invalidates
the current dll interface which is all that j.exe depends on. But the j.jar
front end has always been a bit of a disappointment and perhaps more trouble
than it was worth.
