If memory still serves me, in ancient J console, up arrow move the cursor up and press enter key will copy that line to current line for end.
I'm not sure if there is a difference between ctrl+shift+up/down and ctrl-up/down, that would be controlled by terminal emulators. IMO console users will only use bare up/down arrow to cycle history, any other alternative keys would be redundant. BTW, I suggest sharing the same history file at ~home/.jhistory for both jconsole and jgtk. This will save a lot of typing when working with both jconsole and jgtk at the same time. -- regards, ==================================================== GPG key 1024D/4434BAB3 2008-08-24 gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 4434BAB3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
