Main issue I've had with trying to get the GTK front end to work on Windows is a bunch (>20) of error dialogs about errors trying to create snap folders in .svn folders when I start the front end. I haven't worked out yet how to stop snapshots yet so I don't have the problem "solved". Also I haven't started from blank j701-user folder so I'd need to do that to make sure that the instructions were complete.
